Day 1
Managua

Arrival at Nicaragua International Airport.  Meet & Greet ant transfer to your hotel.


Day 2
Managua – Matagalpa

Before, heading to Selva Negra, your tour guide will take for Managua city tour which includes visits to Acahualinca Indian tracks, Ruben Dario Theater, Peace Park and other interesting places part of the latest history of Nicaragua, after lunch the trip continues to Matagalpa area. B L


Day 3
Matagalpa

Morning Coffee Tour at Selva Negra. Afternoon at Leisure. B


Day 4
Matagalpa – Leon

Your day will be full of different experiences of Nicaraguan History. First a visit to the Chorotega Museum in which you will have the chance to enjoy more than 1000 pieces of Pre Columbian Indigenous art that varies from 500BC and 500 AC. Continue to the colonial city of Leon for city tour.

Day 5
Leon – Granada

After Breakfast depart to the Ruins of Old Leon – Declared in 2000 World Heritage site of Human kind 2002 by UNESCO. Continue your trip to the colonial city of Granada. Rest of the day at Leisure.

Day 6
Granada

Breakfast. Spanish influence will be obvious at the colonial city of Granada, where your Nicaragua expert will lead your day starting at Granada then boat trip to Lake Nicaragua – largest freshwater lake in one country of Latin America. Continue to Masaya Volcano National Park, Masaya Market where you will find unique pieces of art of local artist. Later,  a visit to Sandino’s Native Town to learn why this man has been important in Nicaragua history.

Day 7
Granada

Half day tour to Mombacho Volcano natural reserve. For our visit, your vehicle will take you to the foot of the mountain where you will meet the park keepers. Switch vehicles and start your way up to the top on a four wheel drive. The adventure begins on a paved road and right from the start you will be surprised by the biodiversity of this natural reserve. Surrounded by exuberant vegetation and enjoying breathtaking views. When you reach the summit, you will understand why this ecosystem is a cloud forest. The park keeper will give instructions and then you may walk the trails of the volcano (For approximately 1:45 Minutes) to learn  about the flora, the fauna, the ancient people who lived there and the Vulcanology of the area. If the day is clear enough,  visit an impressive viewpoint to observe the plain Pacific region of Nicaragua, the neighboring city of Granada and the great lake of Nicaragua and its islands. When you return from the walk,  visit the biological station where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or purchase snacks. Board the vehicle that will transport you back to the foot of the mountain. Considered a moderate hike. Return to Granada. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 8
Granada – Managua

Transfer from Granada to International Airport at Managua.

You may add an extension to Solentiname Archipelago or to San Juan River to witness the majestic forest along the river that once was travel by Spanish conquer, pirates, Mark Twain in XIX century and now is travel by history & nature lovers. Or you can add a beach extension to Pacific of Caribbean coast of Nicaragua.
