This classical tour visits the major attractions of the vast country and gives a good idea about the wide variety of Mexican landscapes, its people and their traditions.

Day 1
Oaxaca

Transfer to a downtown hotel on arrival. In the morning you can easily explore the picturesque colonial city by foot. Visit the market, the church of Santo Domingo and the main square. 


Day 2
Oaxaca

Morning excursion to Mitla, a masterwork of fine arts in stone carvings by the ancient Mixtecs. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided excursion to visit the archaeological site of Monte Alban and its ceremonial centre. B


Day 3
Oaxaca – Villahermosa – Palenque

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Villahermosa. You will be met and transferred to the town of Palenque. B


Day 4
Palenque – Merida

This morning, explore Palenque, one of the most fascinating sites of Mayan culture, surrounded by tropical vegetation. After lunch, transfer back to Villahermosa airport for your flight to Merida. On arrival, transfer to a downtown hotel. B


Day 5
Merida 

Full day excursion to Uxumal, another unique Mayan city due to its closed assembly. Afternoon return to Merida with opportunity to explore the former flourishing capital of sisal production on your own. B


Day 6
Merida – Chichen Itzå – Merida/Cancun

Full day tour to visit Chichen-Itzå, the largest open-air museums of the Mayan culture. The wide Ball Game Court, the Temple of the Warriors and the Observatory are the major highlights at the end of this thrilling trip through the Mayan history. Continue to Cancun and your hotel.


Day 7
Cancun

Transfer to the Airport for your departure flight, or perhaps stay on for a few days in Cancún, Playa del Carmen or Tulum on the idyllic Riviera Maya.
